Other Questions you might have
What is Bible Study?
Bible study is a time to explore God’s Word with guidance from a pastor. It’s more than reading the Bible—it’s asking questions, discussing what it means, and learning how to apply it to your life. A pastor helps lead the conversation, point out key truths, and show how God’s promises shape our daily choices and faith.
Who leads?
Pastor Jim Bartok leads our Bible study. He earned a Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO, where he studied Hebrew and Greek, the original languages of the Old and New Testaments. This training equips him to explain the meaning of Scripture in its original context, helping participants understand both the historical background and the theological truths of God’s Word. Pastor Bartok is an ordained pastor in the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, combining academic study with practical pastoral experience to guide learners in growing their faith.
What if I say something wrong?
Don’t worry—Bible study is a place to explore, ask questions, and share your thoughts without fear. Everyone is learning together, and your pastor and fellow participants are there to help guide the conversation. It’s about growing in faith, not being perfect, and your voice is always welcome.
